Description

The United Nations has designated the 2020s the decade of ecological restoration because of the urgent need to repair degraded ecosystems.

BCIT’s Bachelor of Science (BSc) and Master of Science (MSc) degree programs in Ecological Restoration (ER) provide graduates with a world-class foundation in the fundamental science, applied knowledge, and technical skills needed to restore a broad range of degraded ecosystems.

The BSc is a 2-year program (years 3 and 4) and is one of just two Canadian BSc programs in ecological restoration.
The MSc program is Canada’s only graduate program specializing in ecological restoration, and is offered jointly between BCIT and Simon Fraser University. In both the BSc and MSc programs, students work with our many professional partners on a wide range of applied restoration projects, thereby gaining experience in addressing many current environmental challenges.

Join us online on Monday, March 29 at 6:00 pm. Get your questions answered by both Program Heads.  Zoom details will be emailed to registrants or found here closer to the date. For more information, visit the program page or contact Eric Anderson, ER BSc Program Head or Anayansi Cohen-Fernandez, ER MSc Program Head.

To support you and your continued education, BCIT is adapting applied learning in formats appropriate to the unfolding global situation. We want to make it easier for you to work towards your future goals and get the education you desire
