Description
Join us for an in-person info session for the two new programs: the Bachelor of Environment and Society (Environmental Studies) and the Bachelor of Environment and Society (Environmental Sciences).
These interdisciplinary programs are designed to prepare Arts and Science students for careers in cross-cultural environments through a combination of in-class learning, fieldwork, and community projects. After completing a set of core courses, upper-year students can specialize in topics such as climate change, adaptation and mitigation, biodiversity and conservation, and urban sustainability.
The programs will also offer a regional-specific educational experience with opportunities for studio learning and place-based practice through partners such as the Átl’ka7tsem/Howe Sound Biosphere Region Initiative. The programs will officially launch in Fall 2025.
The session will be held at LB 321 at the main campus in North Vancouver.
