Description

Curious about a firefighting career? Discover first-hand what it takes at our upcoming hands-on information session

In our new, hands-on information session format, learn about the Fire Fighting Technologies Certificate (FFTC) program and get a taste of firefighting by practicing some essential firefighting skills at one of Western Canada’s most extensive firefighting training facilities.

Cost to participate is $25. Minimum age to participate is 18.

DATE: April 13, 2019
TIME: 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
LOCATION: JIBC Maple Ridge campus

As the information session will involve some strenuous physical activity, participants are encouraged to bring their own water bottle and dress in appropriate active wear.

Forms:

All participants are required to sign and complete a Waiver Form prior to participating in the information session. For participants under the age of 19, their parents/guardians are required to sign and complete the Waiver Form. Please bring a hard copy the morning of the information session or email it prior to the information session to fire@jibc.ca with “Firefighting Info Session Waiver Form” in the subject line.

Please note: Only those who have pre-registered beforehand will be able to participate and attend the hands-on information session. To ensure safety of everyone in attendance, no unregistered observers will be permitted on site during the event.
