Kwantlen Polytechnic University’s Certificate in Farrier Sciences program teaches students the knowledge, skills and behaviours to work competently as qualified farriers. The program accommodates a wide range of students, from those just entering the trade to those with several years of experience who wish to upgrade their skills and knowledge.
Through the use of classroom, shop, and practicum, students gain the knowledge and skills to safely practice the trade. With a small class size and purpose-built shop space combined with a regular clientele of horses, the program offers the ideal environment to begin a career in the trade.
