Explore how the human body processes food and transforms it into energy and nutrients. In this interactive trial class, you will learn about the four stages of food processing—ingestion, digestion, absorption, and elimination—while identifying the key organs involved. You’ll also get hands-on experience by performing an experiment that demonstrates the chemical digestion of starch by the enzyme amylase. Hosted by Langara’s Biology Department, this session offers a glimpse into the engaging and applied learning experiences available to our students.
