Description

Lecturer: Dr. Rebecca Gagan, English

Learn about the skill of “noticing”—a skill that is not only essential to the work of literary analysis, but also to the work of living more mindfully from day-to-day. Through a discussion of Galway Kinnell’s poem, “Saint Francis and the Sow,” we’ll explore how it is possible to reteach ourselves to read and to live in a way that allows us to notice more, to see more, and to deepen at once our study of literature and our experience of the world around us.
