An additional 147 seats have been added to early childhood educator programs at eight post-secondary institutions across British Columbia.
The new seats include full- and part-time studies, online learning and speciality programs in Indigenous based education, infant and toddler education and special needs.
Northern Lights College in Dawson Creek will receive an additional 34 student seats.
The Thompson-Okanagan region will see 25 new spaces introduced at Okanagan College and Thompson Rivers University
An additional 44 spaces will be available in the Kootenays at the College of the Rockies and Selkirk College.
Camosun College will see 24 new early childhood education spaces, Northern Island College will have 12 new spaces and Vancouver Island University will have eight new spots.
