The 2020 Maclean’s University Rankings are out in both print and online versions, and BC universities dominate with four PSBC member institutions ranked in the Top 3 of the major ranking categories; four of the other five are in Ontario.

UBC is third in the Medical/Doctoral rankings [after McGill and the U of T], SFU and UVIC are ranked number 1 and 2 in the Comprehensive category [followed by Waterloo], and UNBC ranks second again this year in the Primarily Undergraduate category, between Mount Allison [the only institution outside of BC and Ontario] and Trent.

The Maclean’s rankings do not include most PSBC member institutions, as the four universities ranked in the three major categories are the only BC institutions included on the list of 49 universities across Canada that are eligible or choose to participate in the Maclean’s ranking process.

However, there are profiles of other BC institutions in the print edition as well as other feature stories, including one about the growth of the international student program at Thompson Rivers University.
