Camosun College has launched a new two-track cybersecurity program. The program’s two tracks include a Cybersecurity & Network Support Technician Diploma, which will provide students with the skills they need to attain an entry-level IT industry role maintaining systems, and a two-year diploma program that will provide students with the skills and knowledge needed to work in a Security Operations Centre.
Students will learn about system and computer maintenance, security analyst skills, and server configuration and setup.
On completion, students will not only have the knowledge and skills to maintain computer and network systems but will also be able to design and configure these systems to protect them from hackers and malware.
