Langara College and The University of British Columbia have signed a transfer agreement that enables students who complete a Food, Nutrition, and Health Transfer diploma program at Langara to transfer directly into the Food, Nutrition and Health Major at UBC.

Students who complete the two-year Langara diploma will be eligible to apply to the 3rd year of the Dietetics program or to pursue a degree in Food Science, Food Market Analysis, or Nutritional Sciences.

The Food, Nutrition, and Health Transfer Diploma and its associated curriculum was approved by the UBC Senate and Langara’s Education Council to allow graduates a direct pathway to the Food, Nutrition and Health program in the Faculty of Land and Food Systems at UBC.

“This was a collaborative effort between UBC and the Nutrition and Food Service Management Department,” said Monica Molag, Langara Department Chair of the Nutrition and Food Service Management program, “and we are so pleased to offer our students a pathway to the Food, Nutrition and Health program at UBC.”
