Thompson Rivers University has received approval from the Government of British Columbia to begin offering a Master of Arts in Human Rights and Social Justice. The program will be launched in Fall 2022 and will combine human rights and social justice.

“It’s a program for practical people who want to make a difference in the world. It’s a program that focuses on providing real skills in helping people understand complex issues in the real world,” said TRU Dean of Arts Rick McCutcheon.

The 16-month degree will cover topics such as homelessness, truth and reconciliation, climate change, poverty, and war. It is focused around four core components that include Indigenous ways of knowing and field study work.
